Guest oko2708 Posted August 20, 2017 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Hey guys, I just installed Emby on my DS115j NAS and it took quite a bit of time to scan for all the media. I don't really mind, after all its a first time setup and I can imagine that plowing through all my media certainly would take a few hours. However 8 hours later it's finally done, but its still running incredibly slow. Images do not load or load very slowly and I noticed that even though it took 8 hours to scan through everything in the 'scheduled tasks' section it said it only took 20 minutes. I'm aware that the specs of my NAS aren't very good with its 800MHz single core processor and 256MB RAM. But is this still enough or am I possibly doing something wrong? thanks! mikeraburn 60 Posted August 20, 2017 Share Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) Emby server is still going out looking for meta data You can go into the individual libraries and look under CHAPTER SETTINGS, That is what is bogging you down if you have them both checked, most likely. That was my experience on my DS216 Play first install. Check them and run a scan when you aren't going to be viewing for a few hours.
