chef 3745
Ember now has no audio when starting a movie. Just the movie, the video backdrops have audio. Same issue that I am having in the emby theater. Edited August 16, 2017 by chef
FrostByte 5049
What platform? I've only seen this when setting the DTS option on within the app on the XB1. Edited August 16, 2017 by FrostByte
7illusions 1249
Is that on all codecs, or just some? Also, are you running Insider builds of Windows?
FrostByte 5049
My issue with DTS on the XB1 may have something to do with my XB1 being hooked up to my TV which then is hooked up via ARC to my audio system. My TV doesn't passthrough DTS via ARC so I have to leave my XB1 set to bitstream DD. Otherwise I get no sound from streaming movies like you are seeing
chef 3745
Xbox 1 ac3 audio so far
FrostByte 5049
I just tried both apps and am getting sound in both. Make sure the DTS option in settings in the app is toggled off, even when playing AC3 files.
chef 3745
Guess what the problem was? And this might come up again. Xbox one had a new feature to pull audio from apps and play it over other applications. It can be accessed through the left slide out menu. If you turn that audio volume down then you won't get any audio from any media, but emby video backdrops. I just realized that it was turned down. There is no alert saying it is turned down or muted in Xbox unless you start a media file in ember or emby theater and look at the left side out menu! That is a problem, and you never know how many more people this will happen to.
