homonovussapiens 3 Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 well i am a newbie for; both for kodi and emby; couple of weeks for most.. in fact; trying to learn how this set up works.. i got 3 emby servers 2 at different isps and one at home.. and 2 kodi connected to emby as ADDON of course with different profiles... one is emby premiere.paid-the one at home.. not the other ones..! . i have decided; as result my inspection.. a-emby is the best library tool of best of any type of scraping... at this sense. kodi sucks what can i say; youre the best.. b-i choose to use kodi as a playback device..since emby theater is not mature enough! AND kodi rulesss..without a payment for each server..or playback device.. tha it have to buy premiere for each server.... ! it is a little bit unfair.. the problem is that; when it is a movie .no problem..! but when iti is MUSİC: and i am using EMBY music database enabled at KODİ.. when it is mp3 or flac.. no REMOTE control works when i DO choose kodi.. as a PLAYER and ADDon.. but when i choose DLNA ..the same PC and the same KODİ İT works just fine..! homonovussapiens 3 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Share Posted July 27, 2017 no lyrics support no plugins like youtube,shoutcast,etc no MANUAL subtitle download from various/different providers option hangs often black empty start up screen problem on some windows pc's mpv uses much more cpu compared to kodi --------------------------------------------------------------- like i have tried to explain; i connect to kodi with emby play on when i connect to Kodi32n-Kodi and i play video no problem; remote control at the bottom of web page appears: but when i tried to play music; some audio file the remote control does not appear. no start/pause, no volume, nothing. i have to go to Kodi webpage to stop the song. this also, the same for emby android player; so not related to browser. But throughout my trials, which was a long time! : i happened to find a way round. if i connect to kodi32n-DLNA which is fact the SAME kodi but using DLNA. volaa, there comes the remote control for the song or any audio file. So you may say that; what the hell, connect with DLNA. alas! This DLNA connection create problems with movies who has AAC 5.1 or 7.1 encoding. Bad luck! ha? İ am going back and forth between emby to kodi connections according to type of media. Just repeat your test in the webclient to emby for kodi for music, wait a few seconds, grab the log. homonovussapiens 3 Posted July 28, 2017 Author Share Posted July 28, 2017 curiosity killed the sleep. yes it solved remote control problem. now, the remote control anchored to the bottom of the web page when playing both audio and video. but you should not rescan audio library on kodi like i did. the audio library of kodi messes up for some reason and it is Kodi's problem. like i said at the start that emby library is the best. i did a kodi database reset with emby add on and everything is oki now, including the remote control for audio. thanks a lot... 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
