defpl 0
Hello, I saw a little problem, when i play some movies they are clash and i can't watch. I see the FFMPEG use 99 % of my DS216J Synology. When i open this same movie from android in admin panel is "transcoding to h264 3,5 mbps" but when i play on LG smart TV is "direct play" but FFMPEG too use 99 % and i can't play.. When i open movie from lg DLNA >> synology movie it's fine and i don't see FFMPEG on synology.. CPU too is only 10 %. Why Emby use FFMPEG when synology can play this without ? can i do something ? when emby say "direct play" and then use 99 % cpu of FFMPEG? defpl 0
Luke, have you got any news why emby use ffmpeg when is direct to play? synology don't use this.
barat 27
Możliwe, że jakaś inna aplikacja odpala ffmpeg (np masz gdzieś ustawione, by automatycznie konwertowała filmy). Jeśli chcesz pomocy, to musisz postępować zgodnie z procedurą, którą podesłał Tobie Luke ( how to report a media playback issue). @@Luke - I just explained in polish how defpl should attach logs, and why it's important to provide them. I suppose, that he's not english skilled enough for technical conversation.

Luke 37008
Ok, it looks like you are using the ScreenPlay app for LG. This app is not developed by Emby. It is a third party app developed by a community member, kwilcox. You will need to discuss with him why it is transcoding and not direct playing: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/40456-screenplay-for-webos-20-and-higher-tvs/ Please let us know if this helps. Thanks ! @@barat can you translate? Thanks !
barat 27
