I've never honestly understood the issue as the devs were able to implement most other remote commands just by porting from the WMC shortcuts (which obviously can utilize PageUp / Down commands and numbers). This is one of the top 5 issues that's preventing me from becoming an Emby premier subscriber... not being able to page up/down blocks of listings in the guide via MCE remote channel +/- buttons as it does in WMC. Another top 5 is not being able to change channels when watching live TV with MCE channel +/- buttons which is a bit more of a head scratcher.
