Predator2000 3
VG Max For all Members Hi Guys, now it´s Time for me to report me here. Since yesterday runs now finally my Raspi3 with OSMC - Emby - Kodi (Titan Skin) The only problem I have now is the fact that no DVDs are played. My complete files are all on my DS916 +. And on the NAS of course there is installed the Current Emby Server. The Movies currently run on a TV that play unfortunately only "original standard" formats. I watch the videos over HTTP (standard addon) and not native. MKV movies under Kodi are no Problem but at least, I noticed in some series DVD's that are in a Video_TS folder on the NAS, Kodi can not played this. Is there any special setting for? Or do I have to install some addon for it? And how does it actually work with the "transcoding on the fly"? If I am properly informed, it is not possible to convert the Files over DS916+ and it´s better to do this on an Raspi under Kodi. But how can i do this or what do I have to Configure? In Kodi or Emby Server? So the Raspi 3 converts the videos into the format which the TV can play? I would be glad if you can help me ... Find out about the search here or on Google nothing suitable or I use the wrong keywords ... Thank you in advance with you all and am really grateful for any help. Luke 37060
Hallo.
Predator2000 3
In German? or better in English? At the beginning I had the folder structure as follows: / TV series / Series / Season 1 / DVD1 / TV series / series / Season 1 / DVD2 and so on I have changed this to: / TV Series / Series / Season 1 / Disc 1 / TV series / series / Season 1 / Disc 2 and so on Now I can play the disc 1 but it seems as the Emby server ignore the further disc. Luke 37060
I tested this structure and it worked just fine, both with and without video_ts.
Predator2000 3
I'll try again this weekend. Can it perhaps be that I have to Scan the Serie under the metadata manager scan again? Or is it perhaps because I have extract and copy the full DVD/Image File into Disc 1... Disk 2 and so on.So i have more then on Video File. The same as if you Start normally the DVD and would click on watch all episodes.
Luke 37060
Well if you move files around then yes you need to run a scan.

Luke 37060
Why do you think it didn't work?
Predator2000 3
season 1 has 10 episods. under ..../season 1/disc 1 (and disc 2)/videos_ts/ .... are 4 episods includet but you can see on the pics that the emby server only find or scraped 3 episods and ignore all others
Luke 37060
We don't support that for folder rips. You should only be seeing two episodes - disc 1 and disc 2. If you want to see 10 episodes then you will need do convert to plain video files. Please let us know if this clarifies things for you. Thanks ! Predator2000 3
This is not very nice but if it is not different ... Maybe this should be included into the wiki for the folder structur in Emby. So that everyone knows already before that the Series DVD's or Series video_TS are not fully supported or limited to 2 Episodes on Disc are. Luke 37060
They're not limited to two episodes. It is in the wiki, along with the suggested naming for tv series on DVD: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming
Luke 37060
Please note, there is still full support for playing dvds in apps such as Emby Theater, Emby for Kodi and Emby for WMC. It is only a display issue. For a better experience, consider converting to plain video files. Thanks !
