Trakt full sync problem

I'm also using an external player in Kodi + Emby for Kodi. And because setting the watched state automatically didn't work with Emby for Kodi and external players, I have to set the watched state manually in the Kodi context menu.

The Emby server correctly shows the watched states set manually in Kodi. But syncing the states to Trakt didn't work. The log says that the watched states for multiple items are syncing but in my Trakt account these items are still shown as unwatched.

 

If I can help with more details, logs or testing something, please ask.

My Trakt Problem was related to the SecureChannelFailure Error show here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/50599-emby-not-scraping-images/

 

and fixed with the shown way, reinstall the server on my xpenology machine

Do any users at all have sync working for files which were watched before installing the plugin?

 

I can provide my server log but I don't imagine it will help at all.  The system syncs my watch status fine for shows immediately after they'e been watched.  

 

It just doesn't even try to sync status for the thousands of other files which I watched previously.

 

Someone just needs to build a task to sync Emby playstates to Trakt.  This doesn't exist right now.  For some reason Emby only syncs it's library to Trakt and Trakt syncs it playstates to Emby.  

 

But this isn't helpful for people who have all of their watched status in Emby and want to begin using Trakt and this is the problem.  Even if you built a one time button to sync playstates to Trakt this should fix the issue.

Sorry for the little delay. Here is my log file.

 

My situation: Setting the watched state manually in Kodi. The Emby for Kodi plugin correctly sync the watched state to Emby server. Emby server and the Trakt plugin don't sync the watched state to Trakt.

 

The last entry in my Trakt history is from the 13th of June.

I've done a manually Trakt sync at 9:11.

I have the same problem everytime I click update to Track.tv it sends, but nothing happens on Track TV also all the added movie i have added as watch before sync gonna disappear from watch and the % when sending the info to track doesn't show in % it just says a lot of random numbers.

Sorry for asking this question again but can anyone answer this for me:

 

- Does anyone have show tracking working with Trakt for shows they have previously watched in Emby?

 

I understand this doesn't work perfectly. And I have never gotten it working for previously watched files.  But I haven't really seen anyone indicate they have this working at all so I am just curious.

Such a shame that the Trakt plugin is not working.

 

I am moving Emby from Linux to Windows Core install and really need a way to move the watched status.

 

TRakt plugin would do it by design but the issue with not syncing the Library stops easy migration.

 

Is the original developer not around anymore?

 

@@Luke is there any other way to migrate watched status from Linux to Windows?

Some updates were available on Debian. Now I'm using Emby server version 3.2.32.0 and Trakt plugin 3.1.1.0.

 

Syncing my library to Trakt still doesn't work correctly. Items, set to watched manually in Kodi, didn't sync there watched state or history to Trakt.

There have been updates to the plugin but primarily for compatibility with Emby Server changes. We would love to see a new community member help with the Trakt plugin. The source can be found here:

I have problems sync my watch state to trakt too.

I've marked movies as read in emby, then i wanted to push them to trakt, but it does not seem to work.

Is it supposed to pass watch state?

I'm using Sync library to traktv.

You can scrobble content as you are watching it. A few people are currently reporting issues with the trakt sync process.

I've found something more about the plugin. It doesn't sync the watched status for additional users if the primary user on the session doesn't have a trakt account associated, even if the additional users do. It ends the process with a failure (failed to find trakt account).

Until the plugin is capable of syncing played states for items watched prior to installation it is pretty much worthless.

 

All it can do right now is tell me which items I've watched since the plugin was installed.  Who wants to keep this information?  What is the point?

If you're not using it as a syncing mechanism and only want the realtime scrobbling then it will work just fine.

Our Trakt plugin has been updated to 3.1.2. Due to Trakt API changes, you will need to install the update, and then re-authenticate using the trakt plugin configuration screen.

 

In addition, there are improvements to the Trakt syncing process. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

I just updated the PIN on the Trakt plugin.

 

I am confused by this option:

 

 

I've read it several times but can't figure out if I want it checked or not.

 

If it is checked that means it won't upload historic watch status to Trakt?

 

So if I want it to upload my previously watched videos, I should uncheck this?

Yea I guess that text does sound confusing. Based on the label I would guess it applies to historical data.

It seems like leaving this checked should update Trakt based on the label, but the description tells me that it will only update after videos finish playing.

 

Up until now I haven't found any way to get my watched status of historical items synced to Trakt.

 

Do I need to uncheck this option to get it to sync historical data?  Any other thoughts on if this is possible to accomplish with the latest version, and ,if so, how?

That was it.  I added my PIN, re-ran the Sync library to Trakt.tv and Trakt finally has my historical watched state:
