Due to the error message this is throwing this might be relevant:
I changed the fingerprinting process from 3 concurrent to 1 manually, might be related.

Edit: Putting 2 concurrent for fingerprinting seems to solve the issue, I would rather have it running with 1 stream though - seems to be a bug.
Edit2: Looking at the log now with 2 concurrent it seems to go one by one like I would expect from having 1 concurrent, this is a bit strange...

2 is the minimum. Due to the way calculations are conducted.  I did speak with chef about this and we thought that we had caught this scenario but obviously not.

cheers

That looks to be an error with ffmpeg. Can you see thumbnails in the Intros tab of the plugin?

I have thumbnails for Intro start but they all seem to be missing for Intro end when Has Intro is false.
When Intro is true, both start and end are there.
It looks a bit weird to have an Intro Start thumb when there is no Intro.

I click the confirm, the episode goes hidden, then returns with Confirmed dot still empty. I repeated this for first 5 episodes. I reconfirmed episode 1, all 5 go hidden, then return. Also the confirm all button does nothing.

We are going to use a default thumb for the end thumb nail if no sequence is detected.  Thought we would get you guys something to test.  What do you think of the new UI.

This needs to be wired up.. it’s on our radar

Hey @neik you were able to change the input to 1?

It has to be at least 2.

I thought I had handled that in the UI, but I will take another look.

Oh @neik, you are correct.

I'll add validation right away.

We can't have that number less then 2. It is best when the number is not odd, and a multiple of 2.

But it can never be less then 2.

I'll make the changes.

Nice catch!

I already started fingerprinting before reding this.
So far everything seems to be going OK.
Running Emby in Docker on Synology, using the LSIO image (beta tag).
If it fails I wil start again with debug on.

That's totally okay!

Thanks so much for taking part in the project!

Looking forward to the feedback.

Is it possible to add a series to the exclusion list, then add intros manually to those shows? I'm thinking of the sports situation I had earlier where the national anthem was getting hits, but one or two episodes do actually have what would generally be considered intros, so the ideal situation would be excluding it to avoid having to remove a ton of false positives but still being able to add in the couple of episodes I do want to flag.

Series/TV shows are in the available to exclude on the advanced Tab.  Manually adding shows is not possible.

So the tools are there. In your sports Folder/Series.  Include this Show in the detection and finger print.  Then for each season... edit the episodes you want to have intros and then click reset data for Season xx

Then click save edited data

So instead of editing a couple of episodes, and then I'm done, I have to edit a couple of episodes, and then remove 40 seasons' worth of data one year at a time?

That’s 40 clicks for you about 3-5mins of effort

or 1-2hrs of coding plus another 1hr of testing just so we can cater for one of the extreme cases. This plugin is designed for TV shows not recorded sports events

just saying

and for 2 episodes out of 40yrs im sure you can fast fwd

You have to use the 'cp' command to copy the SkipIntro.dll from wherever it is currently to the Emby plugins directory. For example, if it was in the NAS's download folder, navigate to the folder where it is and type:

cp SkipIntro.dll /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/system/plugins/

these are simple SSH commands, so please be very careful if you are not sure what you are doing. Please do some basic research to help you understand better https://betterprogramming.pub/10-basic-cli-commands-every-junior-software-engineer-should-know-67e827e51f89

Have you restarted your Emby server?

FrostByte

When you copied the dll it looks like it made root the owner

  1. Shut down Emby server
  2. change permissions to emby for group and owner
  3. restart Emby server
