rliepins 9
Hi there I can view Live TV fine from the host machine, but when I try from a remote client using Chrome or Emby Theater, I just get the spinning circle. I have attached a sample of the log with plenty of error messages in it. I have tried the default ffmpeg as well as stable releases from ffmpeg.org. Luke 37024
Hi there @@rliepins, as a test, if you try disabling quick sync, does that resolve your issue? Thanks !
rliepins 9
ding ding ding! That solved it. I was using the Intel Quick Sync. Can I ask if that is worth having on in the first place? I'd love to be able to take advantage of hardware capabilities if possible, but if it prevents external users, I'll have to skip it. Thanks for the suggestion. Luke 37024
Recall that when you enabled it, you agreed that you would disable it if you had any playback problems. Yes it is worth having when working but the quicksync decoders/encoders will still have trouble with certain media.
