b0mb 35 Posted June 4, 2017 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Hi! i´ve tried to use transcoding using lates Kodi 17.3 on a Fire TV Stick with the following results (test all available HW in my House) My Server is running OMV 3 with Emby natively installed. I´ve had to install all intel drivers for my Apollo Lake (J3455) and also ffmpeg in the debian backport version to get HW Transcoding using the intel GPU work, Here are my results.... no logfile this time becaus i am sure it is a problem with the fire tv stick and i hope someone will have a solution for me.... Ok! Stuff that´s beeing transcoded it HEVC 8 Bit - nothing really special GPU Transcoding => FireTVStick - glitches here and there but everytime at the same points in the stream, really wicked CPU Transcoding => FireTVStick - everything running fine GPU Transcoding => Android handy xiaomi redmi note 3 - everything running fine CPU not testet GPU Transcoding => Intel NUC5PPYH - everything running fine Kodi 17.3 is running on all my devices. Emby Version i use is allways the latest beta. Maybe my problem is caused by 50 hz Mode the FTVS is using. The glitch looks like some kind of 2 - 3 flickering frames. Does any1 have an idea?
