dcook 264
So as we all know when you press the back button on the Roku remote it takes you back to the home screen and then one press gives you the pop up messaging confirming you want to exit the app. I would like this to be changed so that when you press the back button from the home screen it takes to the select user page so you can switch users. If you then press the back button again it can then give you the pop up message and exit, but it should take you to the select user page first. As it is right now in if I am watching a show under my user, and my daughter wants to watch something I have to press the back button, exit the app, start the app and then select her user. It seems pointless that I need to do this, when it should be taking me back to the user selection page prior to asking for confirmation to exit the app. Thank you! ebr 14851
You can just hit the '*' button and then select "Select Server" and pick a new user.
dcook 264
@@ebr I will try the star button, but I still think the back button behavior should be changed, if the Roku app asks you to select a user after selecting a server and then takes you to the main page, if you are press the back button it should be the same steps but in reverse. ifignella 12
I will say the "do you want to exit emby" is really just a safeguard more than anything. For those of us that have used Roku for a while, we know the easiest way to exit an app is to just hit the home button. Either way, you're going to have some clicks in there because chances are you won't be on the home screen to begin with. So, if you happen to be within a season and on an episode, you'll have 5 clicks just to get back to home, then another back press, then change user. Still going to be easier to pick up the remote and press the home button, restart the app, choose user. I don't think there is any way around this since there are no buttons on the remote that an app can dedicate to a certain function.
