jlharper59 0
I am trying to find a low-cost solution to run a repeating slideshow through a ROKU. I have Emby, but want to know if there is a way to play a slideshow of all images in a folder, repeating until I exit. The scope is for a church with approximately 20 TV's around the facilities - easy enough to add a cheap Roku and you have a low-cost digital signage solution. Thoughts? ebr 14910
The new Roku app will do this using a photo library. However, it may not meet your needs because it is going to display the photo title or date in the lower right corner and you cannot control how fast the items change. As much as I hate to say it, this really sounds like a job for PowerPoint...

Use their roku app. https://support.shutterfly.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1506/~/roku%3A-slideshow-functionality Edited April 12, 2017 by ifignella
speechles 1917
You can use the blue neon roku app and accomplish this. In preferences, set the slideshow overlay to 0 (never). Then slideshow period, the maximum in the app you can set this to is 20 seconds. Enter the photos section you wish to use, use the slideshow button and let it run. This will cycle your images endlessly without the screen saver interrupting. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
