Whats best codec package to use in WMC win10

I'm having trouble playing *mkv files in wmc, they seem to be playing at a lower frame rate and i cannot skip ahead. All other formats are working fine *avi and *mp4.

I'm using K-lite codecs full package which i update regularly through ninite. Whats the best codec package to use in WMC so can play .mkv files.

Im on Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

 

Edit. "mkv files in the web browser play in very good quality, but i like WMC, coz i can use my old remote with it, to skip ahead and use the live tv option.

For Windows Media Center, I would just install LAV filters and nothing else.

Ok i found a link on here to LAV filters, but i cannot get it to install, only file i see that can be run is build.bat, i ran it as administrator but nothing happened. Do you a link to LAV filters?
