The only reason I was even giving it a thought is because of Emby Theatre. Kodi on Linux is great and I used it with a centralized MySQL database for a few years before I discovered MB(Emby). The Emby Theatre version for Linux just isn't there yet. Otherwise I would just switch to that. My FireTV boxes work great with the Emby apps, as well as the iOS apps. Series pooling not working in the Emby for Kodi addon and a few other problems I've noticed (sometimes it will fail to mark something as watched and won't delete the media from Emby).
