gleep52 15
It happens on all of our iOS devices. Our apple TV4 works fine, Shield TV works flawless, but on all of our ipads, the app has a few issues: 1) The app will sometimes forget the user and logging into connect won't find our server. If I enter the external name that's shown on the settings page manually, it connects and finds the server fine. It only prompts for a user if we go without use the app for more than a day. If we pop back in and out of the app all day it works just fine and never forgets the server/user. 2) If we're opening and closing the app a few times a day - most often we'll get the spinning startup graphic and it just spins non-stop. We've let it sit there for a couple minutes and it never times out or presents an error. It USED to do this and then ask us to log in again, but now since it doesn't ask us to sign in again, we can only force close the app and then reopen it, which USUALLY takes us right into the server with the last user who was logged in. Since our three kids all have ipads, this has been a pretty big headache. I've tried to find common ground or reasoning to it all, but this is all I've got so far. Any way I can provide logs off an ipad maybe? We have one iPad 3, which does the spinning graphic the most. iPad Air 1, which doesn't have as many problems, but probably gets the most use of Emby and we usually switch over to it when the iPad 3 does the spinny graphic and I want to test and see if it crashes/errors out. We have two iPad pros, one of each size, but those haven't gotten much use of Emby yet. If you want us to sign up into the beta sector, I'd be willing to try it out - but wasn't sure if these issues are addressed there or not. Thanks so much! gleep52 15
Is there a testflight version I can subscribe too maybe? Or do we have to wait for the official app store? If the latter, any ETA?
TecWiz 0
Can we get an expectation for when the update will be released? I purchased the iOS 5 dollar version to unlock streaming anywhere, whether I am local or Remote the last 2 - 5 minutes of all items freeze and lock up the application and I have to back out, close, or reopen the Emby App. Extremely frustrating when the episode is not over and there is content I want to still watch till the end. gleep52 15
Luke - does Emby has testflight from Apple to provide betas to end users? I'd greatly appreciate using this fixed version, even if only to test it out for you and provide feedback.

Thanks ! Just straight up trying to use the ios app on ios 10.3.1. Android apps are no sweat. Still have not got it going on ios. I will try to figure out the cert stuff that you linked to in the other thread. Streaming to ios must be a pretty common use case. It would be nice if the error was not silent. Hopefully this is natively fixed soon

In order to do this, you need to have an SSL cert on your Emby Server that the device will allow. That is most likely the issue here.
