Backdrop images on EHS

I don't how long this hasn't been working but I just noticed it. I have Emby for WMC loaded to a Win7 PC and I am using XB360s as extenders.  The behavior happens on both the main PC and the 360s.  I am using the standard Chocolate Theme and do not have any additional themes loaded. When I open Emby to the home screen (EHS) I have 4 items listed Movies, Music, Photos and Videos.  The EHS defaults to the Movies folder as it is the first one listed.  I have multiple backdrop images loaded for each of these folders within Metadata Manager.  So at the home screen I see my Primary Image for Movies and the first backdrop image loaded for the folder in metadata manager.  But that image remains in place no matter how long I wait.  It never rotates to the next or any of the other backdrop images that I have loaded.  The same goes for if/when I scroll right and switch to the Music, Photos or Videos folders.  The EHS only shows the first one of the backdrop images loaded (does not rotate thru them all).

 

If I then go in to any one of the main menu folders (like Movies) and as I scroll across the thumbs for each of the movie posters, the corresponding backdrops for those movie folders do in fact rotate through all of the images. It will also behave normally for the other folders (Music, Photos & Videos).  Why doesn't the top level EHS backdrops rotate as well?

 

I have gone into the EHS settings area multiple times turning on and off anything that says "show backdrops" and "rotate images" but still nothing allows the EHS main page backdrop images to show and rotate in succession.

 

I have turned on and off Legacy Browsing and it had no affect either.  What setting or action am I missing?  Is this intentional?  Does Emby for WMC not allow for the EHS backdrop images to rotate and behave like the lower level folders any more?

 

If anyone has ideas, please advise.

I'm not positive if those have ever rotated but you might try the new dev version to see if it behaves differently.  There was a tweak made to EHS backdrops.

Okay just wanted to make sure it wasn't some setting I was missing. I could have sworn that those backdrops also rotated in the past.  Maybe back when it was Media Browser?  Because seems like it was back in the days when we used to load the backdrop images to the monitored folder and we had to give them different numbers.  Seems like as long as there were JPG images in the folder that the image that was named folder.jpg would be the icon for the folder and any backdrop.jpg images would rotate as a background image.  Maybe things changed when it went to Emby Server and I've only noticed til now.
