sherpa25 1
Hi, is it possible to install Emby on the KU6000 (2016 model, region outside of US)? I've managed to install Emby on my NAS and can only see the Emby server (I think via DLNA?) on the KU6000's Smart Hub, w/c shows a mediocre interface, plus loading is quite slow. Isn't there an app? I saw the latest pinned instructions (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/45323-how-to-run-emby-app-outside-of-usa/) but I'm not sure if this applies to the ku6000 since the remote doesn't have a Menu button, nor is there a Menu option when I enter Live TV (as the instructions require this to be accessed within Live TV). Any help pls? I'm hoping the app interface is going to be much better. I'm trying to save from having to buy another Minix U1 w/c works great on another room/TV, accessing all my network drives (NAS). All my videos are 720p or higher. Luke 37008
Yes for a 2016 model those instructions should work, but may vary slightly if your remote doesn't have a particular button.

Ok, so how do I get the Emby app, since these models come with the overly simplified remote? http://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/SamsungUS/2016fullhd-featuresmart-remote-708x515-1010?$feature-benefit-png$ EDIT: I found help here: https://thevpn.guru/samsung-smart-tv-region-hub-change-us-uk-unblock-vpn-dns-proxy Is there a need to login Samsung account? Not true, it has more to do with the series/model and not the remote. I have a remote with the menu button that works on both 2015 and 2016 tvs. The tv still expects a certain key sequence to get to the menu for it to work whether you use a smart remote or a multi button remote. EDIT: I found help here: https://thevpn.guru/samsung-smart-tv-region-hub-change-us-uk-unblock-vpn-dns-proxy Is there a need to login Samsung account? Great, I posted those the other day and was hoping someone would change the sticky to reflect the differences of the models. The Samsung account isn't needed to just change your region (your PIN may be required if asked for). Also, you will lose any local apps you may be using. For instance the BBC app for those in the UK. sherpa25 1
Got the Emby app on the ku6000. Isn't there any playback 'menu or interface'? After playing a video, the app doesn't seem to respond to most remote button presses (no FF, rewind, pause), even stop. Only button I can use is the Back.
Luke 37008
Just about any button will open up the video OSD.
sherpa25 1
Just about any button will open up the video OSD. I'll try again. Then what options are available in the OSD? Care to share a screenshot? UPDATE: Played videos, still no OSD to navigate the film. Allowed FF and Rew though, but doesn't show any bar to show the part of the film you're currently at, nor properties/data of the film. And it doesn't allow for subtitles? sherpa25 1
Try pressing down arrow Yes, thanks. Wondering why it didn't work earlier. While at it, can you share too a screenshot of your starting view right after entering Emby? When I select a specific library/folder, is there a way to remove the other options (ie. Up next, Favorites, etc), and perhaps just have the list of videos? Thanks again.
SamES 890
Actually my home screen is basically the same as this post. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/blog/1/entry-349-emby-for-samsung-tizen-smart-tvs-1020-released/ I think the only thing you can customise on this screen is the order of the header items. The order reflects the order set in the User->Home Screens->View Order setting on the server.

One more thing, in this same Home Screen settings, what are the 'Home Page section 1... 4'? What's the result of 'Auto'? Thanks again. Luke 37008
It means the app will decide.
