reggierat 18 Posted February 25, 2017 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I have just discovered that attempting to cast any Flac files that are 24bit/96khz are causing my chromecast audio to crash. No entry appears in the server log and there is no transcoding log created. Files play fine in the browser. File sizes range from 100-260MB per track, am happy to upload any if that helps. After attempting to play the file the chromecast is unresponsive and doesn't not appear in the casting menu in the app or browser and unable to see it in the Google Home App, although i am able to ping the device the whole time, so it is not crashing (which i thought initially).
