Movies not able to skip forward = always restarts movie

It's the folder nesting. I raised the movie file one level at a time and played. It always direct streamed until I got to the top level, then it direct played.

Update:

Resume doesn't work. There's no sound and an almost frame by frame motion....slowly

There's an issue with the m2ts container. I remuxed to MKV, no change to the contents, just a container change. Plays and resumes just fine.

EDIT:

I did remove the subs

EDIT 2:

Remuxed one more time, and left all contents unchanged. Plays and resumes just fine.

To recap:

  1. BD rip with the video file in nested folders will transcode/direct stream
  2. m2ts file container has resume issue.

Deleted the LAV folder and restarted ET and it hasn't re-downloaded the folder.

Tested a file.  Same issue still persists.

Shows as Transcoding in emby dashboard.

There's no problem with subfolders, it must be something related to permissions of the network share. See this example from the Theater log.

Theater was able to direct play because it had direct access to the folder path over the network.

Then it's not transcoding. Do you see anything like this in the server?

I think there's a glitch :)

If it were transcoding, you'd have a red line with the green. Like this.

Nothing will play, if LAV isn't there.

I think this is just a playback reporting glitch but it appears to be direct playing to me.

well it is and there isn't.

No wonder I'm having issues.

Should I uninstall ET and start fresh?

Any ideas on why when I resume watchign that episode in the screenshot it keeps starting at the beginning of the video instead of 29:26?

Want the full Logs?  I think I posted the pertinent sections above

Rerinstalling that LAV stuff fixed it.  Now shows direct play in dashboard and resumes at the right spot.

Can also click on progress bar to nvigate forward and back

Thanks!

Hi guys, I had to delete the whole COMObjects folder and it re-downloaded as soon as ET started. Deleting the LAV folder alone left me in the same situation as mentasm.

Cheers
