Hello,

I need help :)

When I try to play a video with the android app (not via chromecast but direct on phone), I have a error : "Playback error : There was an error processing the request. Please try again later."

I got no problem with chromecast or webapp ...

What I missing ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I will test, with apk version 2.8.64.
I have not exactly the same but very similar.

When I launch play, I have the black screen player (Screenshot_20170212-234224.png) and after some second the black screen only during the transcription of the video.

When the encoding finish i go to the select episode screen (Screenshot_20170212-234804.png) without action or error message.

Thanks for quick reply !

  • Solution

@@oohkarma. this file is playing just fine for me. after reviewing your logs again, the issue is the lack of media information in the emby database. Try opening up the video in the emby web app, then on the detail screen click the 3-dot menu, then click the Refresh button. Give it a few seconds then refresh the page. Notice this will populate media information at the bottom of the page.

Then try again from android.
