W8.1 App: Media Folder artwork in wrong aspect ratio

My media folder tiles are in 16x9 aspect ratio and it does not appear to be the case when navigating to the media folders section. As shown in the image they are squashed together. The windows phone app, android app and MBC show them in the correct ratio.
