haraldov 10
My Emby server 3.2.30.0 on Ubuntu is transcoding the tvheadend livetv stream when I play the stream on ET 2.8.3. The transcoding is happing because the livetv stream has embedded dvbsub streams. This issue have started happing the last month. denz 426
I have compiled 0.27 but it is using software renderer when I use --hwdec=rpi it mentions requested hardware decoder not compiled I started following haraldov instructions from ./update as I have compiled 26 before and that one worked in ffmpeg options it has --enable-mmal. Do you have to delete mpv-build folder and start from step one.
haraldov 10
@@denz, the mpv developers have currently rewritten the OpenGL renderer, but the RPI code has not been updated https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv-build/issues/89. This has been now fixed in mpv git I think because I have no problem to use mpv with --hwdec=rpi with mpv 0.27.0-3-g2f41b834b3-dirty. For compiling mpv git you must follow these compiling steps https://gist.github.com/yangxuan8282/c5819e8c74848420739e45e19f66cce9 # You get this error when installing libgles2-mesa-dev. # This package is already installed in Raspbian Scratch so you do not need it pi@raspberrypi:/usr/local/src/mpv-build $ sudo apt-get install libgles2-mesa-dev Reading package lists... denz 426
Tried it and no luck I get audio but no video. The only reason why I am trying the newest version as 26 is not deinterlacing video. Luke 36999
Some new features headed up: - The image uploader dialog is now available. Now if you use the image editor you'll also be able to use the uploader and will no longer be greeted with a prompt that says "coming soon to Emby Theater." - An expanded set of general playback settings. Specifically, some new settings are available for your enjoyment: Quality settings are now broken out into three - home network video quality, internet streaming quality, and internet streaming quality for music - The "enable next video info" setting is now exposed in Emby Theater. Have fun.
darkassassin07 418
I decided to have a play with this too see if i could get my rpi3-b setup as an easily movable emby player. Took some screwing around but I managed to get all the requirements installed, then ran emby. This version (emby-theater-electron) the menus are smooth, navigation around the library is great, however when attempting to play video I get the error others have posted (spawn main.js ENOENT at exports._errnoException (util.js:1050:11)) I then tried the depreciated emby-theater-pi, Now navigation is pretty slow, menus are clunky, scrolling is like watching paint dry, but video playback is seamless. I don't notice any difference in video quality compared to anything else I stream on.(though im largely streaming ~720p 1080/60max) That is v/a quality alone though, the video players controls are just as clunky as the rest of the menus. Oddly it will not play a second video without being restarted. Watch something, then either let autoplay try to play the next one, or select something else yourself and its just loading forever. darkassassin07 418
After removing --disable-gpu from et.sh emby-theater-electron will now start the video player, then after loading longer than most of my other devices (including emby-theater-pi on the same device) begins playback. The sound begins to play and the player controls come up over the background image for whichever media it is. The video itself however either does not play at all, or is displayed behind the background image so is not visible. DFergFLA 0
I really like Emby Server, even though I have only played with it for a few hours. But, I really need a this Linux app. I tried to do it myself but I can't get it to work. Any chance on a .deb or a snap or flatpack install anytime soon? Econaut 1
I have 2 monitors on my system and Emby Theater renders in the middle of both (split between the two). adam.niescierowicz 6
After run from kdm display manager ET run in full screen mode but left top corner is moved 200-300px to the center. Fix: I manualy edited file .config/Electron/windowstate.json and changed value of "x", "y" to 0. Before editing file remember to stop emby.
