Luke 36881
To @@denz and our other international friends, there's a new display setting that will allow you to have a separate datetime format setting from the display language. Enjoy.
Luke 36881
You'll notice the movie list and tv list screens have a new 3-dot button. this is the beginnings of a view menu for that screen that will allow you to customize and make it your own. the settings will be saved on the server which means they will work across multiple installations. For example @@AdrianW, you'll be able to hide the movie titles from under the posters if that's what you prefer. Enjoy.
rechner123 12
Hi Today i tried my first emby setup on rpi. I have the same problem with the dark picture as cbradley69 described. I have a very dark picture when using omxplayer on a Raspberry pi 3. Everything looks great using the HTML5, but i'd rather use the app. I have my back light maxed out and it's still very dark. Any suggestions? Also i have not a smooth interface. Rpi 3 Is there something i can do? Edited December 23, 2017 by rechner123

rechner123 12
To resolve the issue of installing electron on the latest version of raspbian 2017-04-10 there is a script that will update nodejs, NR and npm (for NR): Once you run this script you should be able to install electron. It worked for me on a PI3. update-nodejs-and-nodered Im installing on my raspberry and i get to the step installing electron and i get this error sudo npm -g install electron npm ERR: 404 not found how do i fix. Thanks This worked for me

rechner123 12
As cbradley wrote in post 286. I think it is the same problem. My picture while playing the video, is too dark. The emby interface is normal.
latinumking 6
I did order my first Raspberry (Model 3B), as I want to use it for Emby Theatre purposes as well. Is there in the meantime a new client available or do I have go to through this thread? Cheers, Lati
denz 424
You have to go through much longer thread in emby theater called emby theater for linux
latinumking 6
I got my raspberry 3B, I did install on latest raspbian stretch dated 29.11.17. In order to get electron running, I needed to run update-nodejs-and-nodered (thanks to Rechner123) I suggest that this information will be amended in the install instruction of the first posting. I am able to run emby theater, (without the cec hdmi support), but I also encounter very dark display, it looks like brightness has been reduced by 50%. Can someone help me on that one? I would appreciate to have a real emby theater client for raspberry in the future. Luke 36881
Is the darkness only during video playback?
latinumking 6
Is the darkness only during video playback?Yes, only in video playback. If a movie stops, the darkness is gone. I found that chromium emby does not have it, but playback stops and hangs. This does not happen in the playback of the client.
