Dnabsuh 0
I have an emby server on windows 7 with Server WMC, and also I expose the WTV files separately. This works well with my windows 10 client, and all my android clients, but when I try to connect to either the 'Live TV' (ServerWMC) connection or the 'Recorded TV'(Indexed WTV) files from the Samsung, all I get is a spinning bar. If I use the web browser from the samsung, I get a bit better results- I get some images coming through, but it is choppy. Any suggestions on settings to check to see what is happening? Luke 36887
Hi there, welcome. We're sorry to hear about this. Can you please provide the emby server and transcoding logs? Instructions are here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks !
Dnabsuh 0
Hi - here are the logs. I see some errors in the logs about connecting to 192.168.0.1, but I use 192.168.2.x subnet, so I don't know if that is something or just a red herring. I am trying to see if I transcode them to a different format if that works. logs.zip
Luke 36887
Hi, and this doesn't happen with other video files? the logs here look pretty good. Can you provide a sample file for testing? thanks !
Dnabsuh 0
I apologize- I thought I replied. After creating a few short test files, of 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes,15 minutes and 30 minutes, all on the same channel, I found that the 1,5 and 10-minute videos played (with progressive delays at the larger videos). I then saw that I was a little behind in server versions and updated. Now I have been able to play 2 hour shows with no problem, other than some transcoding slowness once in a while. I am not sure that the Intel QuickSync Transcoding is really working- My rig is a Core-I5 (forget model # off top of my head, its a 3xxx series), and the main TV display is connected to a Radeon 7780. I am not sure ffmpeg is really using the quicksync, cpu seems to spike during transcoding.
Luke 36887
According to the logs it appears quicksync was not used. Thanks for the update !
