hey

is it a bug or a wanted feature that when disabling and re-enabling a user, he needs to enter his Emby password again in Kodi and the database is being rescanned?

Can you explain what you mean by disabling a user? On your Emby server? I believe the server automatically revokes the authentication token. However if the database was already imported, it should not be re-importing the content. Let me know and I'll test it on my side.

yeah it's just a question about comfort. I disabled a user in Emby server for testing purposes (the third checkbox from the bottom in user's settings).

Later I re-enabled the user and he had to enter his password.

This is no big deal I was just curious if this is a wanted behavior.

If I remember right a manual sync is being triggered after log in (or some kind of sync, definitely a quite quick one).

Best regards

Ok, then it's perfectly normal. If you disable the user, the server revokes the authentication token. Which means when re-enabling the user, they will need to re-authenticate. A manual sync (or fast sync) then runs, which is normal when the Kodi profile is loaded.

Ok nice.

Thanks for clarification.
