Luke 36881
If you look at the first bullet point in the changelog, that's very exciting. RuntimeMajor performance improvements in the runtime and framework
anderbytes 139
So I hope now things around this get a little more concrete. Mono is too processor-hungry. Sent from my ASUS_Z017DA using Tapatalk
Jdiesel 1112
Will it require a significant rewrite to migrate to .Net Core or is the current code in place somewhat compatible with .Net Core?
Luke 36881
Probably not too many code changes but some projects will have to be shuffled around I'm sure.

Jdiesel 1112
The Ombi dev has started work to port over Ombi to .net core from Mono. I setup a .Net environment to test with and it was pretty painless. Hopefully the other two indexing services I use will also make the change so I can rid myself of Mono completely. Luke 36881
.net core doesn't run on all distros yet so that will leave developers with the choice of continuing to work with mono or just not supporting those distros.

That's true. But with the new version a lot of distros are supported. And not using mono is a big ++++ .
