Trailer plugin no longer plays trailers (loads forever)

In the last couple days trailers stopped working for me. They don't play before movies (cinema mode) and when I go directly to the trailers plugin and try playing something, it just displays the loading icon forever. I didn't see anything that jumped out in the logs. I have tried reinstalling the plugin and it hasn't made any difference. Any ideas what could be going on?

Hi, welcome, we're sorry to hear about this. Every once in a while a trailer url will go bad. This will eventually clear itself up as the data changes. Please try again with other trailers and let us know if it's still an issue. Thanks !

It seems to be any trailer that I have tried so I don't think it is a broken link.

I noticed this in the transcode log:

But when I go to that URL in my browser the trailer loads fine so I am not sure what it is getting hung up on.

What browser/version?  Is this only in the web client?  Please post your server log.

3.1.3-static. That is why I posted the first log from FFMPEG showing it can't resolve the hostname. That is being thrown by FFMPEG in the transcode log I believe.

I just tried 1/2 dozen trailers and they all played fine.

Shouldn't be. It is connected to the same switch that my PC is on and behind the same router. On that PC I can enter the URL into a browser and it goes to the trailer. I will double check when I get home though.

Ok, I just played around with some different ffmpeg builds and the ffmpeg-git-20160215-32bit-static from the link above seems to be working. I tried 2 others before that. It seems the 64 bit version doesn't work for some reason. Also, this brings around the question: why did it stop working in the first place? I haven't changed ffmpeg since I set up the server. That is really strange to me...

You are on a non-Windows server correct?  There must be something different in your server package build.

I found a package that is 32 bit specifically for it that is working also. 64-bit still not working with 4.2 firmware for some reason. Still interesting that it stopped working. Might have been after a server update and I just never used the trailers for a while after so didn't notice.
