580guy 4
Can you please go into one of those genre views and then post the EMC log? Thanks. Movies by Genre is working in the first subview entering a library. However, Genres from settings within the library does not. Here's what I did: Selected Blu-Ray Movies library Selected Movies (now looking at list of movies) Chose Config (little gear icon) Selected Index (Genres, Actor, director, etc) Nothing displays, only 2 options, NONE and CLOSE. Have attached the MBClassic Log to hopefully diagnose what's wrong. Thanks. ebr 14850
Ah... that's a different animal. Thanks for explaining. I think what we're going to need to do is simply remove that "Index" menu.

That's the fix? No way to get it working? I really find it quite useful myself. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
ebr 14850
That's just not how the system works anymore. We have views instead.
580guy 4
That's just not how the system works anymore. We have views instead. Well, I discovered something playing around with some settings. Under Configuration/View Options/Top Level Views: I UNSELECTED Show movie sub-views (previously selected) Now when selecting a library I immediately enter the library (list of movies) NOW when I select Config Menu (little gear icon) THEN index: It works! I see the following options: NONE ACTOR GENRE DIRECTOR YEAR STUDIO CLOSE So you have to NOT SELECT movie-sub views on the Top Level Views for this to work. So, PLEASE DO NOT remove the index item from future releases. The main reason I use Emby is for the indexing of a large movie library. And the this relational indexing is a very powerful tool. For some reason it used to work for me, even with the movie sub-views selected. But I can do without the sub-views to have the indexing capability. Hope this might help someone else wrestling with this. I don't know how many of us WMC users are still left!
