radioactivesqrl 0
I'm running the latest FreeNAS Emby plugin 3.0.7200 I was wondering how Emby assigns a rating to movie trailers in order to satisfy the option "Enable smart parental control" when running Cinema Mode. I have frequently seen some of the worst R rated trailers playing for G and PG content. I am, of course, playing local trailer content only and it is not limited to unplayed content. Luke 37008
They would be unrated. The latest version of the server will exclude unrated trailers with that option enabled, and also it makes the ratings more accurate by taking it from the main movie when you have it. radioactivesqrl 0
I'm a little confused by your second statement. 1) Are the trailers unrated and will be excluded or 2) Trailers will take their rating from the main movie Overall I would prefer #2 unless there is some administrative option to manually rate the trailers separately. Thanks for clarifying, Luke. You're awesome.
Luke 37008
It is both. Local trailers will pull the rating from the movie it belongs to. Internet trailers will try to get a rating from internet metadata. If after all that they still don't have a rating, then they will be excluded when using that parental control setting.
