Upcoming Scheduled Recordings

I am wondering about the intended behavior for how the the nexus player displays upcoming scheduled recordings.  It seems that the web client and my nexus player displays this differently.  For instance, if I have a series recording set to only record new episodes and I navigate to upcoming scheduled recordings on my nexus player, it shows every episode for that particular series, even reruns.  Mind you, the reruns are not scheduled to be recorded, yet they still show.  I guess my question is why are these reruns displaying if I have it set to only record new shows?  The web client behaves differently, it only shows upcoming scheduled recordings that ARE actually going to be recorded.  Definitely prefer the way the web client displays this.

Here is how it is displaying on the nexus player.  These are not scheduled to be recorded yet they are showing.

Here is how it is displaying on the web client.  It is only showing items that are scheduled.

I think the web client is going to be modified to do the same thing.  Notice in your screen shot that the recording icons are not lit up (red) indicating that those episodes will not be recorded.

If we only show the ones that actually will record, how would you ever know that one was showing but not scheduled?  What if you wanted to tell the program to record one of those showings?

That is why the entire schedule is being displayed.

In the web client, if you go into the series recording for one of those, does it show all of the schedule like on the NP?  Maybe that is the only place it shows now in the web app.

Okay, the web app limits the "Scheduled" display to only items that are actually scheduled but shows all episodes when viewing the actual Series Settings.  I'll align this app to be the same.

Okay thanks that fixed that issue.  I also noticed the same behavior if I navigate to my Live TV tile.  The "Scheduled in Next 24 Hours" shows everything.  The programs you see are not actually going to be recorded, yet they have recording icons.  I can verify that these are not set to be recorded by drilling down to the actual series settings.  Can you align this screen as well to only show what is ACTUALLY going to be recorded?  Thanks!

I did the same thing on that screen and the fact that those items show the red indicator means that screen thinks those items will record.

If you are seeing a discrepancy there, then it is probably another issue.  I'll take a look.

Okay.  Thanks!  I just recently switched from serverwmc to the Emby DVR with schedules direct.  I have noticed a couple more issues in regards to recordings and Live TV.  Should I be posting these issues in the testing area under android (I am running beta releases for everything) or should I continue to post here?

Create a new post for each specific issue in the appropriate place depending on if it is an issue with the app or server or just Live TV in general.

There is no beta of this app at this moment so this forum section is fine for app issues.
