Bah!  Rejected.  There's a login bug with WebOS1.4 & 2.0.  If you enter an incorrect password it hangs forever.  WebOS3.0 isn't affected and neither is the chrome browser so its an ideosyncracy in the LG Ajax routines that I'll have to work around.  We've seen this before but I never was able to accurately reproduce since I tend to use the WebOS3 emulator and Chrome to debug.  Good news is that I can make it fail every time so it'll be easy to figure out.

They also flagged the super secret "logo click resets" feature as a bug.  I'll have to chat with them about whether I can leave it in since its only available using the magic remote...

So basically they tested it more thoroughly this time and found stuff that has always been there but they didn't find before? Haha

exactly.  This is the first time they deliberately tried to enter a bad password on a non-WebOS3 TV.  I'm guessing that extending screenplay to WebOS1.4 may have been behind it since there was now a 66% chance that they would try it on a platform that had the problem (up from 50%).

edit:

Well, so much for that theory; this is impacting the WebOS3 emulator as well.  I wonder if its something I inadvertently broke....

quick fix.  Looks like readyState returns a garbage response to indicate an error on LG TVs...  Now I've just got to check on the reset feature.

edit.  done.  v1.2.1 submitted for testing.  I'll update the repo later.

Thank you for delevering this amazing app.

Nevertheless I have a little problem.

I can`t watch the subtitles of a movie, wether they are forced and saved in the mkv file, or if they are external.

What shoul I do?

@@woozle: check your app store. ;)  Screenplay v1.2.1 was accepted and should be available on WebOS 1.4 and up.

Yes.  Screenplay has had global service availability since v 1.1.4.  Check post 3 if you can't see it in your store.

PW only.  As suggested in post 3, its best to actually set up special emby users for use with screenplay.

Strange. I have one TV that is 1.4.0 and it worked. But another one 2.1.0 hasn't.

Both are FullHD capable TVs, afaik

How can I test the app resolution of my TV? That's the only thing that I couldn't guarantee from post #3

I can't think of a way.  Generally, smaller/more inexpensive sets have this issue which may be a cost saving feature.  The capability itself wasn't introduced until WebOS2.

Hi kwilcox

Thanks again for the time you spend on screenplay!

I have looked to see if my question is regarding language selection has already been raised/answered, but could onlyfind references to subtitle language.

I have a few mkv files with 2 audio tracks. In the web client, I can choose which audio track to play (the 'note' icon), is it possible to provide this in screenplay. I have tried editing the mkv header to set one track to 'default' and 'forced'. This works (both flags are required) but I wondered if the track could be selected at 'play' time?

Cheers

Updated last night, very well done Kwilcox. Delete button works a charm and I had a bug were subs would appear on everything I played. Seems to have stopped that now..  Keep up the good work..

Alternate audio track playback is on the enhancement list.  I'm going to do a survey itnf to help prioritize the next round of enhancements.

It was difficult to do WebOS1.4 support that way and screen layout changes are much more complex.  I really need to find a way to simulate the HD dimensional layout.  Maybe using a browser might work...

edit: should be not too difficult actually.  I'll use photoshop to make a jpeg that has HD dimensions.  then, bring up the jpeg in chrome and size the window so it just fits.  Now I can launch screenplay to see what HD does to the layout.
