Luke 37009
A new update to the Android TV and Fire TV apps is rolling out to both stores now with major improvements in a number of areas. New Look First, many areas of the app have a new, stunning design that makes identifying and reading information even faster and easier. Live TV and DVR Support This release also includes numerous enhancements to both Live TV and recording management (DVR functions). Among the enhancements are: A new, easier to read guide layout More configuration options available right from the guide screen Quicker and easier recording setup Access to and management of the complete recording schedule Access to and management of all Series Recordings Access to the entire range of guide data available (no longer limited to just several hours from now) Quick channel selector during live TV playback Faster and more seamless live TV channel switching External Player Support The app's built-in player support is still quite good - supporting playback of most formats and full bit streaming of Dolby Digital and DTS tracks without the need for transcoding but, if you have a favorite Android player or the need for support for lossless HD audio formats, the app now supports launching media with an external player (requires a player be installed and configured on the device). If using MX Player, we even support resume tracking in the Emby system. Other external players may manage their own resume points but Emby will have no knowledge of these. And More... In addition to the major points above, many areas of the app have been streamlined or improved and some straggling bugs have been squashed. Update the app on your device or get it directly from the Amazon or Google Play Store now! View the full article
