SHOCKWAVE 2
Hi, no problem found here, and I have a pretty decent number of devices for testing. As much as I want to believe you, it can't just be a coincidence and plus other people on the forum are having the same issue. Restart and turning options on and off do nothing. Bartouille 2
Hi, I have the same problem since 3.0.8 update. All was working nice before and since this update I lost all upnp exchange from emby server with my devices. Tried restarting server, computer, switching on and off devices, nothing changes. Emby server is also not visible anymore as a media server on my network. I can provide logs : Just before update under 3.0.73 version full of nices DLNA messages Just after update to 3.0.8, no more UPNP discovery and DLNA exhanges On 3.0.81, same trouble If it's safe to post them here ? If there's also an easy way to downgrade to version 3.0.73 without uninstalling and loosing all preferences, I could try it. It's not the same issue I've encountered several monthes ago. Emby was only in trouble for finding DLNA renderers. This time, it seems that all uPnp traffic is down. Edit : There's also a windows 10 update that arrives at the same time. Maybe a clue ? Edit 2 - My DLNA renderers : Yamaha A/V RX-775, Samsung Smart TV UE46D6500, Sony BD, Freebox Player. None of them are visible Edited October 14, 2016 by Bartouille
Luke 37046
Sure, you can provide them here. I have both a Samsung TV and Sony BD for testing. No problems with those.

solabc16 379
Evening I've been testing with an Apple TV4 this evening, as part of our development work on Synology. Both VLC Player and Infuse can no longer see the Emby DLNA server with 3.0.8100 installed. Windows Media Player on Windows 7 can see the Emby DLNA server OK, but VLC media player cannot. Best - James Log attached, DLNA debug on, clean start following which I tried to locate the server through the above clients. Log.txt
MrBrown 0
Hi there, I have just updated to the latest version and too lost DNLA capability to my Samsung TV. Did anyone identify a solution? I'm not sure I can rollback the version update without re-installing everything from scratch? Thanks
Shizuyori 5
Same here, reverting back to the 7300 release fixed it for me, I noticed that in windows 10 on the 8100 release emby stopped showing, emby does appear on my ps4 and then drops after about a minute after restartingHope this helps edited to mention it was 7300 not 7100, and i was reverting from my windows bootcamp on 8100 to osx (pre sierra) to 7300, about to roll back windows to 7300 to see if it's fixed Edited October 17, 2016 by Shizuyori

Shizuyori 5
Yep reverting to 7300 on windows fixed it, which was a case of getting 7300 from github and extracting into the emby folder overwriting all files, obviously this isn't a safe work around but at least it gets you up and runnig so you don't go without an evening of being able to watch stuff etc

Bartouille 2
Same thing here. Sorry :/ Edit : Ah, and reverting to 3.0.73 like Shizuyori said works for me too on W10 Edited October 19, 2016 by Bartouille
XiphosZA 4
Hi Guys apology for jumping in, just to add another scenario to the mix if i may. I'm also experiencing the same with my WDTV boxes (3). Did a few tests to narrow down potential causes and it does appear the DLNA is not broadcasting consistently from the Emby server. I have first tried a few settings on the one WDTV box like static IP, same work group as media server even tried different firmware's as what was suggested on the WD forum. the result was the same. It at first detects the DLNA Emby broadcast and you can brows and play the media but only for a short while then the Server name diapers from the DLNA devices and returns a short while later. So i have recently changed my whole network over to Mikrotik devices and thought that might have caused the problem and decided to use my old D-Link AP i use to connect too from the WDTV box, result was the same. I have also used another Ethernet port on the server to test also the same, so that ruled out network issues. Lastly i have tried DLNA software i got with my LG TV and on the all 3 WDTV boxes the DLNA broadcast name (Smart Share) detects permanently. So i went back to my Emby server and played with settings for the DLNA WDTV profile as suggested in another thread on this forum with no luck. Funny enough though on server version 3.0.8200.0 i started to detect DLNA problems even my LG TV sometimes fail to detect the Emby DLNA. before i never use to have any problems. Sony BR works fine Roku works fine and RBP2 OSMC also fine. Edited October 19, 2016 by XiphosZA
Luke 37046
Hello No change here to the test scenarios I mentioned above with 3.1.194-beta. - James Thanks, I was able to reproduce the Vlc issue and pushed a new beta.
denanet 7
I used the beta version for about a year. About two or three months ago, after the next update beta versions, DLNA stopped working (on Panasonic TV). I began to use the stable version. Everything was fine until I updated to 3.0.8 So the problem with DLNA in the beta version was already 2-3 months ago. Sorry for English, i use google translate
solabc16 379
Thanks, I was able to reproduce the Vlc issue and pushed a new beta. I've just tested 3.1.195-beta on Synology/XPEnology and VLC browsing/playback is working now on both Windows and Apple TV. Browsing is OK via Infuse on Apple TV, but playback fails. However, this may not be a new issue, as I don't have a prior test case. Thanks - James

Bartouille 2
Re Installed Beta 3.1.195 on W10. All DLNA renderers came back and UPNP server shows up again in devices and softwares (tested VLC, Windows Media Player and Mediamonkey). audio and video playback worked flawlessly as far as i've tested.
