Hello,

Anyone know how I could change the subtitle position in chromecast? Its fine in the web client, but in chromecast its too high for my taste.

Hi, we don't have configuration for this but I'll lower them a little. Thanks.

Is there a file where I can manually poke them down?

No because the chromecast app is cloud hosted, like all chromecast apps. So to add a setting means we have to put the setting in the casting UI, then have it pass the value to the hosted receiver. It's much easier to see if a minor adjustment will be enough so that we can avoid all of that.

Its still higher than any other platform. I would like lower it by like 1 total text row...

Hi

Any progress in subtitle position?

Last update or so also made the font size really huge making it look really stupid since it's cover the picture

Are the settings even tested before deployed?

The subtitle support is surely keeping me at Plex and bothers me that it's being played with way to often with out end users being able to control this

I've reduced them slightly. We will add settings in a future update. Thanks.

Thanks - will give it a try.

Any ETA on add settings to future update? Or is it just future =)

Also, why am I not possible to change streaming bitrate while streaming ? or will it adjust auto?

We have an automatic setting which is enabled by default. You can also change the bitrate before playback within the settings from the app you're casting from. To do that, click the user icon in the top right, then Playback settings.

Ok.

Is it possible to lower the position like 1 or 0.5 row? when subtitles are two rows its takes up to much space , also maybe lower the size 1pt also then I should be perfect =)

The position has been reverted to system default size, so i'm afraid lowering it could cause other users to report that they're cut off the screen. I think you will just have to wait until we have settings for this, which we plan to add soon.

Any update on adding a position setting because subtitles are getting cut off with web playback in Chrome using the Windows Server on Win 10-64x

Hey Admin what happens to the subtitles position

It changes position from middle/bottom to middle/top of the television

Can you change the update back to it was because it's not fun to watch a serie or movie like that

Can you give an example? Nothing changed. Sounds like your subtitles have positions embedded.
