Hi,

Im having a new issue with some file when emby is transcoding my mkv to my chromecast or even with the web browser interface.
There's no audio, the source file has AC3 5.1. I looked through the log and I noticed that the audio data is 0KB but I'm not sure if I read that right

I also see ''warning'' message regarding the transcoding stream (has not been used for any stream, the most likely reason.......) I have no idea what that's mean.

Codec AVOption b (set bitrate (in bits/s)) specified for output file #0 (C:\Users\Flexraid\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\transcoding-temp\2e7e521ca79ea6a1fe0e548465b27c88.mkv) has not been used for any stream. The most likely reason is either wrong type (e.g. a video option with no video streams) or that it is a private option of some encoder which was not actually used for any stream.

Output #0, matroska, to 'C:\Users\Flexraid\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\transcoding-temp\2e7e521ca79ea6a1fe0e548465b27c88.mkv':

my emby version is beta 3.1.6034.22791. I had the problem with the previous beta version.
I don't understand why it doesn't do it on all the mkv file with the same audio spec.

any clue where I should look ?

I attached the log, there's 2 remux log because while I tested the file, I changed the bitrate playback from the web browser to see if audio was going to kickin but it didn't.

Thank you.

That's wierd luke because my emby is set to BETA (not dev) and I just did a update check and I don't have anything..

perhaps I can try to uninstall and reinstall.

What is the latest beta version ?

ok I uninstall the version I had and reinstalled the beta 3.1.183.

The problem is still occuring, if I play episode 3 it's find and if I play episode 4 it doesn't work..  I have a few file from different shows that does the same thing.

my next step is to try a different ffmpeg version.

!!! Thank you Luke ! that was the problem.. before reading your reply I did a fresh install on a different computer and it works so I figured it was something inside emby.

Would you mind tell me why a simple refresh fix the issue ? the file doesn't change !?

what could have cause that ? would it be because I get sometime the same episode with better quality and just overwrite the file ?. I thought emby rescan automatically if the file is different.

Thx again ! :)

Question not related this: my emby folder under c:\users\..... Appdata is still named MediaBrowser.. it doesn't really matter but how can I make it Emby. :) even uninstalling emby and reinstalling doesn't change that. I know if I delete the whole configuration that might work but I don't want to loose all my settings and profile.
