Diedrich 353
I have users should would like to watch a 3D movie in 2D through the HTML5 web interface as well as iPad app. Is this possible? I know it's possible through Kodi and my 3D TV but I'm not sure how to do it through the Emby interfaces.
Luke 36887
You should be able to just press play and watch it.

I also just tried HTML5 and I get the same result with no ability to switch to 2D.
Luke 36887
can you provide an example file for testing? thanks.
stettler 27
What the OP mean is that he would like to play a 3D encoded movie (SBS, TAB,...) on a device (TV, browser) that can't handle 3D. Emby would need to transcode the 3D into a regular 2D video (which should be possible). There was several requests for that feature in the past but, if I remember, the answer was that it wasn't a priority and 3D movies was a dead thing anyway.... Edit: you would need a button to explicitly turn on the 3D to 2D stream conversion. Edited October 3, 2016 by stettler
