laffer1 0
So i've got emby running on my home file server which also has a jail setup with a lan address. The file server has a public static IP address that is on a different subnet (long story). emby works from a browser using the public address without a problem, but not from within the lan address since it's allocated to the jail. (emby is not running in a jail) How do I force a "local" ip address to use my public static ip in all cases so that the iOS app can connect? Luke 37007
Hi, what you can do is logout of the ios app (if you're logged in), then go through the server connection process but instead of clicking on the previously used server, instead add a server with the address you want to use. The app will figure out that it was the same server you connected to before, except now it will give priority to the manually entered address. does this help?
