Transplanting EMBY to a new computer

Hi everyone,

 

The computer I am currently running EMBY on is running Windows 10.  Since the upgrade to the anniversary upgrade of Windows 10 it crashes pretty much daily.  I have tried everything I can to fix the problem but to no avail.  So I am left with the prospect of transplanting EMBY to another computer running Windows Vista.  is there any way I can do this without losing my customization options for EMBY?  I have all my media on external drives so that won't be a problem.  i just don't want to lose all the setup customzations.

 

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!!!

Unfortunately you can't install .NET 4.6.2 on Vista.

Its more hassle but you could create a virtual machine on the vista box and put emby there while you sort out the win10 box

What is crashing everyday Windows 10 or Emby?

 

As for moving Emby have you looked at the Server Configuration Backup Plugin or the How to Migrate tutorial?

If Windows is crashing everyday then it sounds potentially like a hardware failure of some kind.
