Deathsquirrel 741
My wife reported seeing some duplicates in the Artist and Album Artist views yesterday. The problem artists show up twice in both views. The same albums and tracks show under both entries. The musicbrainz IDs for both are the same and all the track tags have the same text in both those fields. Just as a test I updated the tags for two artists with the issue, rescanned the library and then did a database cleanup. No change. I popped into Edge and had the same issue there so not likely a FF or browser cache issue.
PenkethBoy 2063
Have had this awhile ago and for me it was that the artist "Ace of Base" was also on one track "Ace Of Base" Think there is another cause but cant remember the details of that one
Deathsquirrel 741
In my case it appears to be all tracks for specific artists, none of which are recent additions. The problem is recent, in the last couple of server releases I imagine.
PenkethBoy 2063
Ah remembered now the other issue i had was i used MusicBrains Picard app to update all the metadata and the same artist had different id's on musicbrain so aligning them in the metadata stopped the duplication Possibly you did a refresh recently?? If not then you need to give us some detail
Deathsquirrel 741
I don't use picard and don't embed musicbrainz IDs in my tags with mp3tag, the app I use for tagging. The musicbrainz IDs pulled by Emby for the duplicates are the same. No clue on this one.

Deathsquirrel 741
The details have been provided. Duplicate artists are shown in the UI. This is new but the media in question is not so it's resulting from a server software change or an error. The tags are correct and the same albums and tracks show under both copies of the artist record and they even have the same musicbrainz ID in the scraped metadata. It's happened to multiple artists but not all of them. I'll just delete the music collection and re-add it, hoping that clears the problem data. Happy2Play 8273
Can you provide some examples, screenshots? But if it is anything like some old topic that this happened in, then you will probably have to delete your library.db and allow it to rebuild. Rebuilding the library did not help.
