The latest stable version of serverwmc (1236) needs to manually installed, instead of relying on auto updates. You can get the install file from here:

Update on this issue: We discovered that it is possible for the auto update to work from the old google drive server, it's just a matter of repeatedly trying and getting lucky. So google has not turned off the serving completely (yet), about one out of four times the page request goes through. 

So if you have success using the auto update to install version 1236, then there is no need to do the manual install.
