LoneRanger21 1
I have been uses 2.2.21 with great success. Today I Upgraded to 2.2.25 to give it a beta test. The plugin immediately throws and error. (Attached as errorlog.txt) I noticed that the path /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.emby/data.txt was looking for a file in the "default" location However, due to a small size of storage on my fireTV I redirect userdata/addon_data to a different location. specifically /storage/sdcard1/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/ It appears that 2.2.25 is not following the substitution from the advancedsettings.xml, like version 2.2.21 did. (Attached as advsettings.txt) To verify this I copied the plugin.video.emby directory back to the default userdata area and the plugin works as expected Thanks for any help you can provide. errorlog.txt advsettings.txt

Thanks for helping test beta! Let me know if it resolves your issue. Edited September 10, 2016 by Angelblue05
marcelveldt 736
In general it's not a wise idea to redirect your addondata folder as a lot addons can't handle that properly.
shorty1483 448
...to go inline with Marcel...but moving whole .kodi folder via xmbc_env.properties to a fast SD works nice.
LoneRanger21 1
Thanks Angelblue it appears to be working. And to Marcel and Shorty, I agree that moving addon_data is not a great idea but I have been able to stick to well written addons that deal with it correctly or completely ignore it (ok not well written, but they do work). Im using a AFTV and even though I have a fast SD card, I find that if I can keep almost everything on the internal storage the interactive performance is better. As such, thumbs and addon_data the two biggest size hogs due to eye_candy on the interface are redirected. Thanks again for the help!
