Strangely Not able to play Season 6 of suits!!!

Okay all,

I'm still struggling with an issue here, and I could not find how to resolve it!!! Can someone give me hint where to look or fix it?

Let me put you in context.... I download Suits episodes, all episodes from season 5 are playing with no issue, but since I have downloaded the episodes from season 6, nothing is playing... In the time I had an error message that could not find the file... anyhow today if I try to play an episode from season 6 (which is on my server BTW) it says that this file is not existing and ask me if I want to remove it from the library... Which I don't do! On the server (NAS1) the file have all the same access configuration either it's season 5 or 6 episodes...

I have installed all new version QMono 4.4.2.11, Emby 3.0.6070.0 on my NAS1 192.168.100.50, and I revert to the simple stable version of kody 16.0.2 that comes in the app centre QNAP on my NAS2 192.168.100.55.

At 12:01:##.#### it's when I try to play a working Season 5 episode
At 12:03:##.#### it's when I try to play an NONE working Season 6 episode

And both episode are playable from my computer if I play them directly..

What else I can add: NAS1 = TVS-EC880 PRo, NAS2 = TS-653A and I'm using the standard version of Emby, no streaming or fmmpeg stuff per say!

I have installed all new version QMono 4.4.2.11, Emby 3.0.6070.0 on my NAS1 192.168.100.50, and I revert to the simple stable version of kody 16.0.2 that comes in the app centre QNAP on my NAS2 192.168.100.55.
NAS1 = QNAP TVS-EC880 PRo, NAS2 = QNAP TS-653A and I'm using the standard version of Emby, no streaming or fmmpeg!

Here is the logs... Try to play Season 5 episode, which work good. Then tried to play Season 6 episode which don't find the file....

It's all look like any newly downloaded episodes aren't playing, anything older is playing, I don't know at what point in time this started exactly and what was done in between (upgrade, etc)...

On another notes, for the Movies, old or newly downloaded are all working!!!

Anything else I need to provide or do, I'm available to help to make it work!

Emby Addon looks like 2.2.19, from the Kody interface...

Give me a few to check the log out. No it is not suspicious, what you are seeing are the emby add-on dependencies and the repository to keep them up to date. It also states it in Kodi if you open the info panel for them.

Do you know what you are doing? This is why I pointed you to the wiki. Season 6 I assume is a new item, it hasnt been synced to kodi, hence kodi cant find it to play it. Did you break sync somehow?

Yes I know what I have done, and basically followed this wiki.

And Yes I confirm this is a new items... But I did all the sync and nothing break to what I know of! But the Season 6 items are showing into Kodi, so to my understanding it has been sync in Emby server and thru Kodi Addons...

But it does not find the file somehow... But if I go via SMB directly on the remote server, it's there and work...

Strange, but Yes I tried another show for a test, but I did also Suits tests (old season 5 and newly Season 6 shows)... I see in logs at 15:50:05 the Season 5 test, and pretty sure I did Season 6 test right after... But I cannot see anything as well... I will have to redo it!

I did reset everything from the kodi, uninstalled all plugin related to Emby, reinstalled them all, reset everything from the Advanced tab and rescanned everything... Movies and Shows.... Well all went well and followed the wiki...

I played on shows of season 5, it worked, then I played S06E01, S06E02 and S06E03 and all get a message (i)Playlist: Can't find a next item to play at the bottom right of the screen, and then I tried to play S06E04 and got this message in the middle of the screem: "Playback failed" One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message.

Ok, thanks for the logs. Check the permissions on the season 6 folder and the episodes. It is almost guaranteed to be a permission issue. Kodi is unable to access/find the file. The correct path is provided to Kodi (compared with the season 5 episode from your previous log), so it's not an issue with Emby for Kodi.

The messages are normal. The last one is when Kodi stop trying to play the episodes in the playlist.

Angelblue05... This is the first thing I've check and I just check back again, and files / folders have all the same permissions.....!!!!

And over that, if I'm able to directly access the files from Kodi by manually browse into the folder on the server and play it with no issue, this mean the file is accessible!

So that is very strange...

Folders are 777 and files 666 mainly, Season 5 & ? are identical.... So the problem is somewhere else!

Strangely Not able to play Season 6 of suits!!!
