Hydro 5
Hi I have some question about sync. How does it work ? I guess app must be open ? Does sync start directly or after some time ? I have some tv show waiting for sync, i launch the app but nothing happen for two hours now. Is it possible to have an option to shutdown / hibernate after done syncing ? Thank
Crestj 67
You can go to sync options and see what it's syncing but if it's not transferring then nothing is happening. I think it syncs when you open the app but unlike the old app there is no way to see if it is without doing the above. 7illusions 1249
Are you running the Win8.1 app or the Win10 version? Win10 is version 4.0.* whilst Win8 is 3.4.*
Hydro 5
The w10 version. Sync seems to happen directly when charging my tablet.

Yes, the app syns when ac is available, the app doesn't need to be running since sync happens in the background.
Hydro 5
It doesn't sync without ac ?
7illusions 1249
No. Or, it tries to sync, but Windows manages background resources and the chance of success is a lot slimmer when not running on ac since it will reduce the allowed background resources being used. A low res episode will most likely succeed, but a HD movie will probably not.
Hydro 5
Is there a way to avoid that ? I don't think to charge my tablet every day and it's a battery killer
7illusions 1249
Theoretically, going into Windows settings -> System -> Battery -> Battery usage by app -> Emby and change from "Managed by Windows" to "Always Allowed" should solve this. You would still need to launch the app to start sync though, since Background sync is triggered by AC connection.
