Runs Manual sync every startup

Not sure if this is caused by emby for Kodi or Emby sync queue but all of a sudden, every time Kodi starts it's doing a manual sync.

It's a tad irritating and it's across all devices from PC to a Firestick all running Kodi 16 and the latest emby for Kodi. The server is also bang up to date as well.

SIgh...you expect logs from 12 different devices all connected to the same server, all experiencing exactly the same problem? I do love your one size fits all generic link to posting logs though

Pick one device where you have the issue and post the log from there!

No I do not expect every log for every device. Just one so we can see what's happening with the fast sync, so thanks for providing it in your last post.

Do you have the Fast sync plugin installed on your server? If so, can you tell me the plugin version number?

Emby Sync Queue is installed and on the latest version- 1.1.6074.1275. Set to unlimited retention, issue appeared before last update of the plugin which was yesterday, previous version caused any library scans to hang so removed manually and reinstalled

Ok thanks, there's been quite a few changes in the latest fast sync server plugin. It is currently being reviewed. What you can do for now is uninstall the fast sync server plugin, and install an older version like 1.0.6020.14567 and wait until the latest version is reviewed: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/23971-fast-startup-sync-server-plugin/

I'll go back a couple of versions then. Good to know there's massive changes in the plugin that are likely to break it's functionality before it's installed on a Server.

EDIT- Going back to the suggested version appears to have fixed this Cheers

I'm glad you got it working again.

If we didn't break a thing or two, no one would ever talk to us... All kidding aside, breaking functionality was not intentional. We are trying to improve the plugin for compatibility on different platforms. There is the stickied thread you can follow that I linked previously.

I personally do not have issues running the latest version on Windows 10, but some users have reported a few bugs, which are being worked on. If you want, you could even provide your server log from the time you had the latest version installed, so your issue with the latest version can also be looked into.

It's not just Windows- Android 5.1, 6 and 4,4,2 all running Kodi 16.0. Every single one showing the exact same error

I am referring to the server platform (in my case it's Windows 10). If the fast sync server plugin fails to work on your server, every Kodi add-on won't be able to retrieve any data from it.

This is why your server log (from the time you had the latest server plugin installed) would provide the info needed to fix the issue you were having.

Yes, it probably is and it needs to be fixed eventually, so when you have time it would be good to switch back to latest and post a server log for @@jurmb84 in the fastsync thread.

e123enitan - Just uninstall the latest version and install the version suggested by ANgelblue.

xnappo- I will do when I have a chance- I also have a dedicated server for IPTV which you can use as a testbed for anything if it makes your life easier? It's anothe Xeon and pretty resilient and running trusty as well, only other thing on there is TVHeadend really which doesn't use too many overheads. It's on a 500MBps line based outside of Paris so could probs be a good testing environment for you

It wouldn't be me debugging this one - it would be @@jurmb84 - but my guess is the problem is fairly catastrophic and a log would show it clearly.

I will be looking into all of this on Monday morning... I have been afk for the last 2 days due to business and will be back at a machine to work on Monday... Is this only for Linux servers?  I am not having this issue on my Windows based server... I do have a version Linux VM with Emby installed to do some testing... So a few things to look at I think would help immensely...  I am not as good at looking at the linux logs as I am windows...

Sorry for the breaks... I have already fixed the first breaking issue with the new DB backend (that only affected Linux servers)... I also posted to the forum that a full sync would need to be preformed as it starts a completely new DB to sync to...

@@Angelblue05 or @@xnappo what needs to occur for Emby for Kodi to do a full sync?  I need to understand so I can try to see what I may be sending incorrectly that is causing your addon to think that that is necessary...

Sorry for the inconvenience ya'll...

It's was just returning error 500 for some reason. That's why the manual sync was kicking in.

Right now, the only way it will fallback to a manual sync is if we get a bad status response. Hopefully this answers your question.

@Angelblues05 & Jurmb84,Sorry for the late update, here I have attached two logs, nothing seems obvious from a layman view, but I leave the technical analysis to you the experts, as mentioned in other threads the new update looks a lot better, just by visual experience, comparison to previous processes.

Thanks for your supports
