Emby for OPPO Blu-Ray Players

I just sent the following support ticket to OPPO Digital, hoping to find out if Emby could be ported to their Blu-Ray players.

 

 

Hello,

 

I would like to know if OPPO has an API or SDK available to third party developers. I currently use Emby (http://emby.media/) to stream media within my home, and also to my parents home. My father has an OPPO BDP-103AU Blu-Ray Player, and it would be very useful if the Emby developers could develop an app for the OPPO Blu-Ray Players, as I know there are a number of Emby users that have OPPO players, and would like this functionality too. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hopefully, I can get a positive response from them. I know there a quite a few people out there that have OPPO Blu-Ray players, that would like to see Emby available on them.

Yes, I think so. I just thought people would prefer an actual Emby app

Blu ray players make terrible media players due to cinavia protection.

I would suggest picking up a cheap android box or an emby supported media streamer like a roku or fire tv.
