zonetrooperex 0 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Is there a way to set the Emby tray icon to open "https://localhost:8920"by default instead of "http://localhost:8920/"? I have enabled HTTPS for Emby already.
zonetrooperex 0 Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 that is the PC that I've installed in on, and I admin it directly.
ebr 15377 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Right but what is the point of using encryption to communicate with the same machine?
zonetrooperex 0 Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) Security is always important even on the same machine. When I'm logging in to anything should always be over HTTPS. meh, I'll just use a bookmark. Edited June 7, 2016 by zonetrooperex
Luke 38551 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Well I guess the question is do you understand what the benefits of HTTPS are or do you just want this because you want "security"?
