TV Programs are displayed as : (With an Episode count in Green Circle)

Within the next page displayed, individual Series are displayed but no Episode Count).

It would be useful to be able to see how many Episodes you have in each Season/Series without having to open each season.

Many Thanks for your time and attention.

The episode count isnt what is in the green orb. This is a misconception. The green orb keep track of how many episodes remain unwatched. You are right, the green unwatched orb should exist on the season level images too.

What server version?  Unwatched count appears fine here.

Sorry,

I realised this as soon as I read your comment as I know the count changes when you watch episodes. (Duh)

(Its late here & obviously my brain is on half power !!! :) )

I use it as a episode count for 'Unwatched TV Programs' when I am creating them.

I am in the midst of creating my Library so not much is being watched.

I am on the latest Beta as of 30 minutes ago (Emby Server 3.1.5.0 on Windows 7 Sp1 + all latest updates)

What is your folder structure?

My Folder Structure is as follows in C:\TV ....... Top Level Folder

containing the following which are single level folders for each TV Program.

574f7386bb058_FolderStructure.png

Each Folder contains ALL the files for the Program across ALL Seasons.

574f73fe2418e_FolderStructureperProgram.

I tried watching 1 Episode (From The Blacklist) and the count decremented on the Top level image for the Program BUT there were NO counts for the individual Seasons.

I have manually run 'Media Library Scans' to update all Database information but this has not changed the situation.

Confirmed on test machine.  In a flat season layout (no season folders) virtual season folders don't reflect unwatched episode count,  If episodes are in season folders then count is present.

@@Luke will have to respond whether this is by design or just an oversight for this file structure.

As for changing to season folders it is really a personal preference.

On stable or beta? i can try stable but on beta it seems OK here. Granted this is after a library scan. Could that be the difference?

My test was on dev build since that machine has default system.xml settings.  I see same as post #1.  No change after library scan or clean database or Refreshing the series.  Flat series structure showed not unwatched count on virtual season folders, where series in season folders did.

V3.1.5999.20120

Tested on Stable 5972 with same results.

Luke,

Thanks for the Fast response/Coding change. :)

Just Got the Latest Beta Update (Version 3.1.9.0) including the 'Flat Folder Structure' fix.

I now get nothing displayed under the Seasons Heading.

Performed a Library Scan and there is no change.

Do you want anything from me to assist ?

Did the Clean Database task run?  If not run it to see if they return.

Happy2Play,

The Clean Database Task fixed the missing Seasons. :)

Unfortunately, still not getting anything displayed for the 'Unwatched Episode Count'.

I see the same on Flat series, season doesn't show unwatched count.  But Series does.

Happy2Play,

I am missing something!!!

How do I get the Series view rather than the Season view. ?

When I click on the specific Season I get a listing of Episodes.

If I click on a specific Series in the 'List view --> Seasons' report, I get the same listing of the Episodes. (As Below)

Not sure I follow the question.  But Series View from your screen shot above would be clicking the Green title.

When I click on the specific Season I get a listing of Episodes.

If I click on a specific Series in the 'List view --> Seasons' report, I get the same listing of the Episodes. (As Below)

They are both Seasons Views.  If you want Series change the List view to Series.

When on Seasons in List view on Reports "Series and Season" navigate to there Series perspective Seasons.

Happy2Play,

Please disregard the last question Re: Series.

It is a misunderstanding on my part :)

To misquote a misquote:

The United States and Great Britain are two countries separated by a common language. :)
