christian875 2 Posted May 26, 2016 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Hi Guys, new Emby user here. Just finishing setting up and notice during playback that the video is "too smooth." Generally this is feature all on new TVs which I hate. I have turned off smooth playback on my TV settings but can't seem to find a setting on the app or on the server side. epayson85 72 Posted May 26, 2016 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Are you sure you have it turned off? Most tv's have separate settings for each input. So that you can say have the settings turned on for HDMI 2 because thats your gaming device and thus those games have higher refresh rates and frames per second that look great with these features turned on. However most television and movies are still on 24fps so thats where you get that nasty soap opera effect so on HDMI 1 you would have this feature turned off. Make sure while on the input you are using emby on, that it is truly turned off. As far as Emby goes... there is no setting for this.
