Sadly, ongoing changes in Emby server required another update https://github.com/s...ses/tag/MOBeta5

Everything's good :-)

Hey @softworkz

Would it be possible to expand the folder selection to include mixed libraries.

In my case I run a documentaries library that is mixed content, so it doesn't appear as an option - only dedicated movie only folders.

Thanks for consideration mate.

Shane

Please hold on...

Hey @softworkz,

The recent beta updates seem to have taken this addon offline.   Is there an update in the works, or are you leaving it for the team to integrate it instead ?

If it is being updated, I am also still curious about allowing mixed-content libraries to be chosen as the target (as opposed to just movie content libraries).

Thanks mate :)

Regards,

Shane

Hello,

I wanted to test it but I cannot find the 'Movie' tab under 'auto organization'. I am using 3.1.0.0 server on windows.

Is that only working for latest beta server ?

Hi, we do not have auto-organize for movies, sorry. But we hope you are enjoying all of the other great things we're working on.

Hi Luke,

I do as I paid a licence :)

I know there is no auto-organize for movies by default. But I thought that topic was about an available (non official) plugin for doing that.

As DLL was updated on 26 nov, I thought it would work.

Hi @Jed0r,

Yes it only works for beta at this time I believe.

Also there is no tab anymore for movies.
Instead, when you go to your Auto Organise menu and then click the folder icon alongside the movies, the standard organise screen comes up, but you need to change the drop down box at the top to movies.

I use this all the time, and it is great !

This is the current status:

At some point in time I got annoyed about server changes regularly screwing the MovieOrganizer plugin.

Then I integrated the movie organization into the main server code hoping it would be merged but it seems that file organization has gotten out of focus a bit at the moment and I fear that only massive user request could change that.

If you're able to compile on your own, here's the current Emby server code with integrated movie organization: https://github.com/s...vieOrganizerNew

PS: But if the plugin is still working, this will be much easier of course. There's no difference in functionality!

Honestly, if it's just 'merge-and-enjoy' then why hasn't it been pulled into the core yet @Luke ?
Emby already has TV organisation capabilities, Movie would only be logical to add.

Plus, it would bring in quite a few new users, cause Couchpotato sucks - like, truly sucks..

Thank you for this nice work.

I'm sorry to say that MOBeta6.dll does not work on "Version 3.1.6202.8777 dev". You can select Movie on "Organize Content Type", but the rest of the page still shows that standard options. So it is not possible to choose a target folder.

@Luke not to gang up on you and the team as your doing a fantastic job. but whats the harm of adding this plug in. Let the user decide if he or she wants to use it...

With no specific relationship to this particular item - every piece of functionality we add to the system increases its complexity both in terms of end use and support (and code too which is manifested in the fact that this plug-in is having some issues now).

The more we add, the more complex it becomes for the user to understand and properly utilize and then this, in turn, increases the support load.  So, we have to try and walk a tight rope of getting the functionality people want to people without making the overall product so complex that it is just too hard to use.

Plug-ins are a great way to add advanced features for those who want them without increasing the complexity of the core product.

fyi:
This addon breaks the organizer dialog in the recent Emby version. The "ok" button doesn't work anymore.
