Watching a recording in progress

Hi, i currently run tvheadend on a debian server and was wondering how the roku channel handled a recording in progress. If I am recording a 60 minute show and start watching 20 minutes in, what happens when I catch up to the live stream, does it stop playing?

I asked a similar question on the fire tv forum, because i am currently using kodi on the fire tv for this and it's not exactly working for this feature. One thing that does work well is an instant 30 second skip forward to jump past commercials. I previously had a roku 3 and since it had to buffer for each skip forward, it was kind of a guessing game for skipping commercials on the plex client, very tedious. Does the emby channel allow for a quick skip forward, or a fast forward that shows the picture as it goes so you know when to stop fast forwarding? On all rokus, or maybe just the new stick and roku?

Sorry for all the questions, I have been searching around for this as it is a HUGE part of my TV watching, i often record sports and start watching 60 minutes in to skip all commercials and my wife has a few longer shows we do this semi-live time shifting with. I haven't found a video or recent thread that discusses/shows this in action.

Thank you

Hi, welcome. we haven't officially supported this feature yet, though I think some have reported success with Roku.
